On January 3rd, 2018 the American people were informed of a possible violation from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that the National Security Agency (NSA), under former President Obama violated the American privacy protection.
THE NUNES FISA MEMO
Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., a chairman of the House of Intelligence Committee, prepared the memo. As of right now we’re unsure of what the memo actually contains but allegedly it states that the FBI and the Justice Department illegally used their surveillance powers to spy on President Donald J. Trump back in 2015 and 2016.
In December of 2015, with permission from Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), the FBI began an illegal wiretap at the Trump Towers in New York City. According to the FISA, Section 702 “allows the government to obtain the communications of foreigners outside the United States, including foreign terrorist threats.” Section 702 also allows the government to gather intelligence without a warrant. Information received at Trump Towers under Section 702 was reviewed by the Obama administration on March 18th, 2016, June 17th, 2016, September 16th, 2016, and again in December on the 12th in 2016.
This isn’t the first time the NSA, the Justice Department, and the FBI have illegally used their powers to collect information on American people. Back in 2010 it is a proven fact that the NSA exploited their power and collected information about the American people. With the information they collected they created graphs of selected Americans’ social connections. The graphs they created using our information identified our internet habits, the people we speak to on a daily basis, our travel plans, the people we travel with, our location at all times, and any other information they deemed fit to collect.
In November of 2010 they started allowing analysis of our phone calls and our email logs. This information about the violations to our phone calls and emails was given to us by the former NSA contractor, Edward J. Snowden.
In 2011 the agency was given permission to conduct graph analysis on large sets of collected communications without having to check for a person’s foreign connections.
In all of these incidents with the NSA it is clear that the government has violated the people’s Fourth Amendment rights. The Fourth Amendment states that it is “the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, paper and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by the Oath of affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched or the persons or things to be seized.”
Strong opinions are expressed when it comes to the FISA Memo and the documents supporting the memo. With the help of trailblazers like Alex Jones and Pete Santilli we’re exposed to the truth of what exactly it is that our government is doing to the people of these great United States.
Since the FISA documents were released there has been a lot of controversy surrounding what is actually in the Nunes FISA Memo. The documents have debuted on the Alex Jones Show, Infowars and the Pete Santilli Show has a two hour special that offers a lot of reliable information, as well. When it comes down to it, it shouldn’t matter if you are a Democrat, a Republican, or an Independent. You have been provided with facts given to you by your government and should be able to see the truth in these documents. We have yet to see the Nunes FISA memo yet right there in black and white it’s spelled out for us. Our government, under the Obama Administration has used their power to illegally gather information about the American people.
